Thank you Helen for your write up in the latest RCN bulletin about the agency nurses. I am proud to be an agency nurse and proud of the organisation I work for - Local Care Force. Thank you for being there for us, especially your guidance with training updates and the nurses revalidation process.

I joined Local Care Force over a year ago now and it was the BEST decision I have made! It has been the most amazing experience and has given me confidence to go out to different services knowing I have that I have help and support from Helen the Clinical Lead Nurse. After being referred to Local Care Force by my friend, she promised me they would look after me. I was applying only a year after qualifying so was nervous but 3 years later I am happier than ever! I get the shifts when I want - in the areas I want! Also the peg feed & syringe driver training really gave me the confidence to try some new services which I now love. I get 1-2 shifts per week to supplement my full time job, my rota always changes but Katie & Emma make sure I get the work I need. I drop my time-sheets on Monday and have a catch up with the team. They are so friendly and not like any other agency I have worked for.

I am due to revalidate in March 2016 and I was panicking that I am not ready but I attended Helen's training sessions on Revalidation and had a 121 with her. For me this is the best job I have had since I qualified as a nurse. My work / life balance is ideal and I don't have to worry about getting in first if I want a holiday or a day off for a special occasion. Everyone at the office at the Leeds branch is 100% committed to looking after you. Not many people can say they love going to work but I do! I have a dedicated team of people behind me every day, all day... Adam, Katie, Emma, Mairead & not forgetting my amazing Clinical Lead Helen. Thank you so much guys!
