January and it’s all go…

Hello all…
(and if you’re a first time reader of the nursing blog, a very warm welcome!)

It’s only the middle of January and already there’s so much going on here at Local Care Force… so here goes:

We have free training every week in February:
1st  – syringe Driver training
12th  – catheter training
22nd – documentation training
29th  – verification of death

Places as ever are going fast so let us know which you would like to attend ASAP. Remember ALL attendance counts towards your participatory CPD. Contact Mairead on 0330 6600644 to book a spot.

Revalidation starts on the 1st April. The NMC reports 16,000 nurses will have to revalidate that month. Are you ready?
I am proud to say 2 LCF nurses are due to revalidate in May and their portfolios are ready to go! Great work!

New wins!

As ever we are incredibly busy – the work just keep coming and coming!

We have just been named as the preferred supplier for a large nursing home group so we need more nurses all RN branches. Don’t forget you get £200 for each nurse you refer to us.  Great start to 2016!

We have also had the go ahead to supply to mental health services based in Wakefield so we need RMNs too!

Exciting RCN news…

If you are a new reader you may not be aware that Cecilia Amin, RCN President, attended our Christmas nurses party last month. It was an amazing day which we are still talking about.

So we are thrilled to announce Cecilia will be joining us again for the RCN centenary celebrations. Watch this space for further info, dates and details – it will be a day to remember I can guarantee!

Our great working relationship with the Leeds and Humber branch of the RCN continues in 2016. The next branch meeting is being held at LCF office on 6th April. All RCN members welcome.

As your Clinical Lead I am also pleased to tell you all I have completed my foundation module as your RCN learning and development rep. This gives me access to RCN learning which I can share with you all!
