Some of you may remember way back in March 2017 our project “Agency Nurses protect yourselves” won a place on the RCNS Celebrating Innovation in Nursing Practice Project”
In celebration of the RCN Centenary, the RCN wants to showcase the very best of the profession, revealing nursing practice that often goes unobserved or is ‘under the radar’ by building a library of good practice.
After 12 months of hard work and close collaboration with my expert mentors the project is sadly drawing to a close.
I’ve enjoyed every moment of the experience from my trip in June to the RCN HQ and library in London to having such knowledgeable mentors supporting our projects development throughout the process, without them I don’t think we would be where we are now.
But that’s not quite all folks……..
So what next?
In March 2018 the RCN will be announcing which projects are being taken forward to the next phase to receive further funding and development. The RCN could even campaign for our Clinical Innovation to be introduced as standard practice across the country, creating a real legacy for the Centenary! So we will be keeping our fingers crossed for that announcement.
The final publication, which will feature our project, will also be launched later in the year. Don’t worry we will let you know when as soon as we do!!!
As you can imagine everyone at LCF is very excited to see our hard work being published in the RCNs library of good practice and hope that the ideas and resources we have developed will inspire others to follow our lead in supporting agency nurses to become empowered, competent leaders in their field.
